About The Position
Centurion is the provider of healthcare and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections. The company is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team at the Reception and Medical Center-West Unit located in Lake Butler, Florida (Union County). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one
- Appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients
- Work under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff
- Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs of patients
