About The Position

Centurion Health is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction, contracting with state and local governments nationwide to provide healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. The company is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team at Pendleton Correctional Facility in Pendleton, Indiana. The LPN (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or compact/multi state license
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

  • Providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients
  • Working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff
  • Responding to a range of physical and behavioral health needs
