About The Position

At Skin and Aesthetics, our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are an integral part of our patient care team, providing both clinical and administrative support for plastic and reconstructive surgery and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch aesthetic environment. The LPN will assist with procedures, manage documentation, coordinate patient education, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our patients. Surgical or non-surgical aesthetics experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current LPN license in the state of practice
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, wound care, and medical instruments
  • Understanding of infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality
  • Proficient with EMR systems and general office equipment
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Surgical and non-surgical aesthetics experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms
  • prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures
  • assist with suturing, dressing changes, wound care, and post-procedure follow-ups
  • remove sutures/staples and change sterile and non-sterile dressings
  • Update and maintain EMRs
  • record medical histories and chart progress notes
  • handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
  • dispose of contaminated materials
  • restock exam rooms
  • assist with supply ordering and inventory tracking
  • Process prescription refills as directed by the provider
  • call in prescriptions
  • educate patients on medication use and instructions
  • Collect and prepare specimens for lab analysis
  • arrange for external lab services when needed
  • Explain treatments and post-care protocols
  • support patient understanding of care plans and follow-up instructions
  • respond to medically related patient inquiries
  • perform History & Physical Consultations (HPCs) prior to surgical procedures at our in-house surgery center
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety regulations
  • provide administrative or clinical support as needed
