About The Position
Centurion Health provides mental health and medical services for the Georgia Department of Corrections. The company is seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the day shift team at Dodge State Prison in Chester, GA. This role offers PRN hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment, distinct from traditional hospital settings by reducing interruptions and stress. The LPN is responsible for delivering holistic nursing care within their scope of practice to incarcerated patients, working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff to address a variety of physical and behavioral health needs.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
- High School Diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
