About The Position

The Family Medicine Center Licensed Practical Nurse has responsibilities that include intake, processing of patients, phlebotomy and EKGs, simple patient/family treatment as directed by the professional staff. AHA-BLS certification is required - however, certification is not a qualifying factor to obtain the position.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
• AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.
• Two (2) years previous medical office experience or primary care experience preferred in addition to One (1) to three (3) years of experience in the CVPH Family Medicine Center.
• 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Ability to function as an integral part of a team.
• Excellent telephone skills
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
• Demonstrates and upholds CVPH culture.
• Is current with all CVPH orginizational requirements (all e-learning, annual health assessments, annual requirements, etc).
• As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.

Nice To Haves
