We offer 10-hour shift scheduling with 2-3 days off in a row without working more than 3-4 days. The shift we currently have available is 1pm-11pm with days off as assigned including every other weekend. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Registered Nurses, medical practitioners and a multidisciplinary team to address physical and mental health needs through assessments, clinical procedures, medication management, and health education.   • Assist in patient and staff health appraisals and conduct health clinics.
  • Perform physical examinations, document patient visits, and assist in patient record management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to address patient needs, including mental health interventions and medication administration.
  • Respond to medical emergencies alongside RNs and provide hands-on care and support.
  • Maintain and prepare medical supplies, assist with lab services (ie: UA's, EKGs), and support telemedicine and x-ray services.
  • Ensure proper medication administration, accountability and documentation following institutional policies.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Iowa Board of Nursing or licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
  • NOTE:  Be sure to include your State of Iowa or compact license number and expiration with your application
  • Compact license holders are required to obtain an Iowa license within 60 days
