About The Position
Provides quality nursing care to psychiatric and gero-psychiatric patients based on standards of nursing practice and care within scope of licensure. To perform selected skilled patient centered nursing care to individual and groups of patients with complex mental and physical illnesses under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Provides a variety of patient care such as administering medication and treatments, maintaining patient records, promoting health and wellness education, and communicating for continuity of patient care.
Requirements
- Licensed or license eligible in Virginia as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- multi-state compact endorsement accepted
Nice To Haves
- Psychiatry and or geriatric related experience.
- Previous experience in hospital setting.
