About The Position

Position Number: 22150927 County: Saline Posting End Date: 4/22/26 Position is an Extra-Help position located at the Arkansas Health Center in Benton, AR, which is a long-term nursing home facility for residents with behavioral issues. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents by monitoring vital signs, measuring food and liquid intake and output, and performing other nursing procedures as directed. Because the Arkansas Health Center is a long-term nursing home facility, the Licensed Practical Nurses generally work 12 hours shifts and rotating schedules. Administers medications & treatments as ordered by doctors; conducts rounds; performs technical nursing procedures (enemas, dressing changes, catheterization, specimen collections, ostomy/colostomy care, etc.) as per department standards; assessing residents upon admission, discharge, change of conditions, incident and accidents, transfers, death, etc; Consistently documents administration of medications, PRN medications, and treatments. Position is an Extra-Help position located at the Arkansas Health Center in Benton, AR. This position starts at the Entry Rate of $53,558.00/Annually but may be adjusted by experience and years of service. Employees are required to work rotating shifts and generally work 12-hour shifts. May require lifting and positioning of patients, walking, use of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices. Requirements

Knowledge of basic nursing practices and healthcare protocols.
Ability to observe and document patient conditions accurately.
Competent in administering medications and performing basic treatments.
Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program.
Current LPN licensure in Arkansas.

Responsibilities

Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Administer prescribed medications and injections under supervision.
Assist in wound care and other medical procedures as directed by an RN or physician.
Communicate with patients and families to provide care instructions and emotional support.
