The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and individual nursing care to assigned residents based on nursing standards and under the supervision of the Director of Resident Care (DRC). This role ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality and safe delivery of health services, implementing physician and DRC formulated plans of care, and providing accurate and timely documentation. The LPN assesses and provides resident and family/caregiver information pertinent to diagnosis or plan of care, administers medication per physician orders, documents properly on MAR, and observes for any adverse reactions. The position also involves assembling resident charts and records, preparing incident/accident reports, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, assisting residents with self-care activities, organizing and monitoring resources, recognizing emergencies, and maintaining confidentiality. Associates are expected to work in a safe and alert manner, take ownership for safety, and disclose any medication that might impair job performance.
