About The Position
We are seeking a School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at our School located in Indiana, PA. The School Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides high-quality, compassionate health care to students in a school setting. Working under the direct supervision of the School Program Director, the School Nurse ensures that all health-related policies and procedures are implemented effectively and safely The School Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment where all children feel safe, supported, and cared for with empathy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Graduate of accredited LPN or RN nursing program with current license as LPN or RN in Pennsylvania required.
- Must provide proof of LPN or RN certification renewals.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols.
- Ensuring proper storage, documentation, and safety of all medications and medical supplies.
- Adhering to standard precautions and infection control guidelines to promote a safe and healthy environment.
- Managing incidents and critical events through timely reporting and appropriate follow-up procedures.
- Responding promptly and sensitively to students’ health needs, offering calm, compassionate care in both routine and urgent situations.
- Collaborating with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to support the physical and emotional well-being of each child.
