LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE / FOXBORO MA / Per Diem / Rotating schedule (please note, RNs will not be considered, seeking LPNs Only) Join our team! Fast paced Urgent Care Clinic right at our medical center in Patriot Place. Since we have a rotating schedule, there are generally options for you to work within your schedule availability which include weekdays and weekends. Pay Range Actual Entry level LPN rate = 28 per hour. More experienced LPNs will be paid higher. (Range listed below are minimum and mid-range rates.) Job Summary Summary Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager or licensed clinical leader and in collaboration with other team members, provides direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the scope of practice. Requirements
- Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma
- Licensed Practical Nurse required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts required.
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
- Basic knowledge of patient education: interviewing and listening skills, teaching and engagement techniques, understanding of health-related conditions and information.
- Ability to accurately perform vital signs and obtain pertinent health information including but not limited to; temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height, and weight.
- Ability to administer medication; routes of administration may include injections, intravenous and oral medications.
- Knowledge and ability to perform specific procedures and tests as appropriate to the clinical setting.
- Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, clear and concise manner.
Nice To Haves
- Medical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interviews patients about current problems, medications, and allergies and reviews medical records for pertinent previous and current information.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
- Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, performing catheterizations, routine immunizations, and/or nebulizer treatments and visual acuity tests.
- Participates in patient treatment regimen, including administering medications (under the supervision of a physician and registered nurse).
- Performs variety of office responsibilities: answers phones and takes messages and performs triage within scope of licensed practical nursing practice in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collect samples, such as blood, urine, or sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
- Help patients with bathing, dressing, maintaining personal hygiene, moving in bed, or standing and walking.
