Position Description: Under general supervision, the Licensed Practical Nurse assists with a variety of paraprofessional nursing tasks in an institutional, inpatient setting involving high-risk and high-acuity patients. This position is intended for use within South Carolina correctional and institutional healthcare environments. The LPN performs duties under the supervision of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Registered Nurse (RN), licensed physician, or other practitioner authorized by South Carolina law.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing
- May require Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, including CPR, AED use, and ventilations
