About The Position

AIMS Locum Tenens is hiring reliable and experienced LPNs/LVNs to support the Family Practice Clinics at NMCP. In this role, you will assist in caring for patients of all ages during their scheduled primary care visits. This includes preparing patients, taking vitals, administering medications and vaccines, and helping providers during minor procedures. The position is outpatient-based and offers stable weekday hours.

Requirements

  • Degree: Graduate of an accredited LPN or LVN program
  • Education: Completed formal practical/vocational nursing program from a U.S. state, territory, or military-approved institution
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • Experience: Minimum one year of full-time clinical experience in a family practice or outpatient primary care setting
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Skills and Abilities: Comfortable working with pediatric, adult, and elderly patients
  • Skilled in immunizations, medication administration, and routine clinical procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and patient communication abilities
  • Familiar with electronic health records and charting
  • Organized and able to multitask in a clinic setting
  • Must be vaccinated for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Influenza
  • TB screening required
  • Completion of NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA health screening form required
  • Must pass a background check and credentialing process
  • Onboarding may take up to 90 days

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care within LPN/LVN scope under RN or provider supervision
  • Support daily operations in family medicine clinics
  • Follow established procedures for patient care, safety, and documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and infection control standards
  • Take patient vital signs, collect medical history, and perform basic health screenings
  • Administer vaccines and oral/topical medications as prescribed
  • Assist with minor procedures (e.g., suture removal, wound care)
  • Educate patients on medication usage, chronic condition management, and follow-up care
  • Document care accurately in electronic medical records
  • Support scheduling and coordination of follow-up visits or specialty referrals
  • Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms and clinical supply areas
  • Provide coverage across multiple Family Practice Clinics as needed
