About The Position

Quickmed Urgent Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our fast-paced, patient-focused urgent care team. The LPN will support efficient clinic operations while delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care and clinical support in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The LPN works under the supervision of a provider (MD/DO/NP/PA) and/or Registered Nurse, assisting with patient flow, clinical procedures, documentation, and ensuring a high standard of patient care, safety, and service.

Requirements

  • Current LPN license in the state of practice (active and in good standing)
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume urgent care setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Urgent care, emergency, or outpatient clinical experience
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • IV therapy and EKG experience (if permitted by state scope and clinic protocols)

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, including vital signs, chief complaint documentation, and medical history collection
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered and within scope of practice
  • Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., rapid strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, pregnancy tests)
  • Collect and prepare specimens for lab processing
  • Perform wound care, splinting assistance, EKGs, and other clinical tasks as trained
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes to the provider promptly
  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care
  • Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Educate patients on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
  • Accurately document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to company policies, clinical protocols, and Employee Code of Conduct
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits as required
  • Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, front desk staff, and leadership
  • Support clinic flow and efficiency during high patient volume
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and required competencies
