This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include but not limited to: Obtains and records objective and subjective data relevant to a historical biopsychosocial profile (e.g., temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, I & O). Demonstrates increasing skill in patient observation and reporting. Demonstrates skill in recognizing subtle signs of impending change in patient's condition. Refers patients to appropriate resources (dietary, social work, OIF/OEF, smoking cessations, etc.) after screening/reminders completed. Initiates and implements measures to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Provides for patient privacy. Consistently demonstrates professional and responsible behavior (i.e. punctuality, neat appearance, code of conduct is followed). Documents patient care in the medical record according to Patient Care Management guidelines. Documentation is comprehensive and reflects current patient status. Participates in meeting the needs of patient and family psychosocial needs and contributes to the development of the plan of care. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Day Shift: Six shifts 7:30am-8:00pm, One shift 7:30am-4:00pm every two weeks. Every other weekend and holidays.
