About The Position

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Fayette County Prison located in Uniontown, PA. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under the supervision of an RN. Available Shifts: Part-Time Evenings With Day/Evening Availability (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM/2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) and rotating weekends This position provides a 2-week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

Requirements

Active LPN license in the state where the facility is located
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Strong patient assessment skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrate clinical competency

Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel.
Maintaining, updating, and working with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure.
Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Conducting sick calls for inmates/patients and providing treatment for illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.
Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care.
Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.
