About The Position

We are seeking a Part Time
School-Based School LPN to join our team in
our Scranton, PA location.

The School Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides high-quality,
compassionate health care to students in a school setting. Working under the
direct supervision of the School Program Director, the School Nurse ensures that
all health-related policies and procedures are implemented effectively and
safely The School Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive
environment where all children feel safe, supported, and cared for with empathy
and professionalism.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program with a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of PA in required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with children with autism is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols.
• Ensuring proper storage, documentation, and safety of all medications and medical supplies.
• Adhering to standard precautions and infection control guidelines to promote a safe and healthy environment.
• Managing incidents and critical events through timely reporting and appropriate follow-up procedures.
• Responding promptly and sensitively to students’ health needs, offering calm, compassionate care in both routine and urgent situations.
• Collaborating with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to support the physical and emotional well-being of each child.
