Licensed Practical Nurse (First Shift/Part Time)
About The Position
Performs patient care, health teaching and health counseling in an oncology setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed independent provider; assists in the goal of individualizing the care of patients in an attempt to support the patients to adapt to the disease process and achieve the highest level of wellness; performs routine nursing care procedures; screens, performs venipuncture and monitors plateletpheresis and whole blood donor procedures; maintains donor and product safety ensuring compliance with State and Federal procedure regulations; enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Starting hourly rate is $27.05 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program.
- Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
