About The Position

Provides quality nursing care to SVP adult residents within scope of licensure
under the supervision of RN. Will administer medication and treatments and
evaluates patients’ response as defined in policies and procedures. The nurse
maintains a safe, therapeutic environment, using the least restrictive measures
necessary and upholds the rights and dignity of the residents and their families
at all times.

Requirements

• Clinical knowledge of principles and practices of practical nursing, medication administration, psychiatric disorders and developmental processes.
• Ability to implement planned nursing care and provides guidance to other staff.
• Ability to work shifts; working overtime hours or shifts as required providing care.
• May be exposed to aggressive residents.
• VA LPN licensure

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in a psychiatric work environment preferred.
