About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians. LPNs are responsible for assessing patient needs, assisting in care planning, and implementing various aspects of patient treatment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic nursing practices and healthcare protocols.
  • Ability to observe and document patient conditions accurately.
  • Competent in administering medications and performing basic treatments.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Completion of a state-approved practical nursing program.
  • Current LPN licensure in Arkansas.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Administer prescribed medications and injections under supervision.
  • Assist in wound care and other medical procedures as directed by an RN or physician.
  • Communicate with patients and families to provide care instructions and emotional support.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
