About The Position

Located in the heart of Colonial Heights, South Park Medical Center provides care to patients with various orthopedic needs in Richmond’s Tri-Cities area. Our team treats patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics with sub-specialties to include hand, podiatry, sports medicine, and wound care. Our clinical team comprised of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, Athletic Trainers and Ortho Techs consists of many skill sets and scopes of practice to enhance patient outcomes and experiences. The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care. This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.

Requirements

  • Licensure, certification or registration varies depending on the incumbent`s employment background and transitional assignment; LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible
  • Current LPN Licensure in Virginia
  • AHA BLS Certification or equivalent
  • Varies based on transitional duty assignment.
  • Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing
