About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides high-level, patient-centered care within a physician office setting. This role supports healthcare providers by assisting with clinical procedures, delivering direct patient care, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The LPN plays a key role in maintaining clinical operations, supporting patient education, and contributing to a collaborative care environment.

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) eligible to practice in the State of Florida
  • One (1) year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred
  • Strong initiative with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent patient/customer service skills
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
  • Current LPN license eligible for practice in the State of Florida (Florida participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required within 90 days of hire
  • Must maintain active BLS/CPR certification
  • Successful completion of medication test within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Measure and record patient vital signs accurately
  • Room patients and prepare them for exams and procedures
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures
  • Provide patient support and comfort during visits
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Process patient phone calls in accordance with practice protocols
  • Educate patients on healthcare plans, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Communicate patient health status updates to providers
  • Maintain and monitor medical supply inventory
  • Stock and organize exam rooms
  • Float to other practice locations as needed to support staffing needs
