About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse CompDrug has an immediate opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the Nursing Supervisor to provide safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The LPN performs direct care, administrative, and clerical duties while using technology to support patient care and team communication. For more than 40 years, CompDrug has offered comprehensive services in prevention, intervention and treatment to those seeking help for their addictions and mental health issues. It is now the largest opioid treatment program in Ohio, offering medication-assisted treatment using FDA-approved medications. CompDrug’s employees provide drug testing, outpatient counseling for men and women and numerous prevention programs for youths and adults. Programs include: Anger Management services, and others. Prevention Services include: Youth to Youth International, Pregnant Moms, Senior Sense, and HIV Early Intervention. Requirements

Maintain licensure/certification as an LPN in the state of Ohio
Proficiency with EHR and other computer applications for documentation and communication.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to change.
Empathetic approach to nursing care and staff interactions
Graduate of practical nursing program that meets Ohio Nursing Board Standards
Must be able to meet the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: 1) Sit, walk, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment; 2) Reach with hands and arms; 3) Talk and hear; 4) See and be able to read, and write, 5) Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

1 year addiction or psychiatric nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care, including but not limited to medication administration, toxicology collection, and vital signs monitoring.
Assist with patient education on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
Support providers during examinations, procedures, and treatment interventions.
Perform nursing interventions according to care plans and document responses accurately.
Respond to patient health concerns and escalate clinical issues as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Ensure proper medication storage, handling, and inventory, including controlled substances.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards in all patient care areas.
Assist in administrative tasks, such as scheduling, chart reviews, coordinating, and preparing patients for medical appointments and follow-ups.
Participate in quality improvement activities
Collaborate as part of interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients.
Follow state and federal regulations, agency policies, and nursing best practices.
Complete required training, certifications, and continuing education to maintain licensure.
Other duties as assigned.
Participate in initial and periodic compliance processes.
Regular and timely attendance.
