About The Position

ProgressiveHealth is seeking an energetic and results-driven Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support on-site occupational health and wellness services in a large manufacturing facility in Smyrna, TN. This full-time day shift opportunity involves providing first aid treatment for work and non-work-related injuries/illnesses, offering early intervention/ergonomic support, performing pre-placement physical examinations (including drug screens, hearing, and FIT testing), administering prevention measures (like flu shots and vaccines), supporting case management, providing health advice and education for chronic disease management, leading/participating in wellness activities, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting the safety team. Requirements

  • Active LPN licensure or ability to obtain licensure
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
  • BLS Instructor Certification or a willingness to attend an Instructor Class
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations
  • Previous occupational health experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Providing first aid treatment as appropriate to employees for both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses
  • Providing early intervention / ergonomic support to aid with the reduction of worker discomforts
  • Performing pre-placement physical examinations including drug screens, hearing, and FIT testing
  • Administering prevention measures such as flu shot clinics, vaccines, heat stress management, etc
  • Supporting case management process
  • Providing health advice, education, and support for chronic disease management
  • Leading or participating in wellness activities such as health fairs and blood pressure checks
  • Keeping accurate, detailed documentation related to injury reports and treatment notes
  • Supporting safety team, as needed
  • Teach BLS to staff and Client employees from selected areas
  • Other duties, as assigned
