About The Position

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex located in Gettysburg, PA. Available Shifts: Full Time Day Shift (6:30am - 7:00pm) Part Time MAT Nurse for Weekends Only (7:00am - 11:00am) Full-Time Night Shift (6:00pm - 7:30 am)

Requirements

Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to function under supervision
Demonstrate clinical competency
Ability to multi-task and has a good grasp of patient assessment skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a correctional health care delivery system, a plus

Responsibilities

Providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel.
Maintaining, updating, and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure.
Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
Conducting sick calls for inmates/patients and providing treatment for illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.
Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care.
Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.
Responsible for Medication Administration and documentation.
Attending MAT meetings and IDT Meetings weekly
