About The Position

UVA Imaging is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, compassionate individual who is a strong communicator to join an energetic, patient-focused team! Are you passionate about patient care? Do you love interacting with people? Come and join our team as an LPN for a full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Charlottesville, VA . As an LPN in our outpatient location, you will be: preparing imaging patients for their CT and MRI exams Reviewing patient allergies and histories Reviewing MRI safety screening questions Starting IV for contrast injection Accessing ports for contrast injections Assisting the physician with any patient emergencies. Requirements

• EXPERIENCE : Minimum 1 year as an LPN in a clinical setting
• EDUCATION : Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• SKILLS/ABILITIES : Ability to work independently and multitask under the direction of a RN or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to manage medical emergencies and/or contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.

Nice To Haves

• IV skills preferred but will train.
