About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of medical and mental health services to the Florida Department of Corrections . We are currently seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Avon Park Correctional Institution located in Avon Park, Florida. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs. Full-Time Night shift; 3-12 hour shifts w/rotating weekends PRN available as well Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
