About The Position

The LPN/GPN administers direct patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a GN/RN. Works collaboratively with all members of the patient interdisciplinary care team. Participates in the care and teaching of the patient. The LPN/GPN observes, evaluates, records, and contributes information to aid the RN/GN in developing the patient plan of care based on age-specific criteria and current patient health care needs.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a nursing program
  • A current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Certification of basic life support
  • Completed IV start class
  • A commitment to service excellence and performance improvement
  • Possess nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and behavioral health nursing to provide direct patient care and observe and document outcomes effectively
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Excellent writing, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Critical thinking and excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of medical surgical experience
