About The Position

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 6MS Long Stay Day Shift (Hours: 7a-7p) Holidays and Weekends - per the department guidelines. Newark, DE Christiana Care Hospital in Newark is currently seeking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the 4A Medical Unit. The Medical Surgical Unit for Long Stay is a 16-bed unit that provides round-the-clock medical care. This unit accommodates patients who are awaiting long-term placement or have complex discharge needs. Our patient population consists of adults aged 18 and older, and their conditions are generally stable. Patients are typically received and transferred from medical or surgical inpatient floors. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Eligible to be licensed in the State of Delaware.
  • All candidates must have hospital setting acute care experience.
  • BLS required.
  • Sign commitment upon hire to obtain an RN license and then a subsequent BSN degree within the defined time frame.
