(PRN ONLY) LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
About The Position
AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a key member of the AJATC medical team, and provides for the general health care of students within the scope of your license. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Arkansas is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Be able to pass a drug test.
- Be able to pass a physical test.
- Be able to pass a TB test.
- Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities
- Provides for the general health care of students within the scope of your license.
- Administering immunizations.
- Assisting with TB screen.
- Assisting with flu vaccines.
- Overall health maintenance of students and staff.
- Assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.
- Assists in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the Medical team.
