This role requires assignment to a primary program and the ability to provide coverage across the designated program region/cluster. As a Nurse, you will be an essential part of community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and/or mental illness, with homes housing 3-8 individuals, fostering relationships with those cared for and their families.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in MA
  • driver’s license
  • reliable car
  • Experience: Supporting mental health needs (personal or professional).
  • Skills: Clear communication, basic computer use, and teamwork.
  • Language: Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical care and medications for persons served, including training staff on safe medication practices in compliance with DPH Medication Administration Program (MAP). You may be asked to become certified in MAP during your first 6 months.
  • Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
  • Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
  • Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.
