Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | Full-Time Starting Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour Start your next nursing chapter earning $28.00 - $30.00/hour while providing hands-on care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with our team, you will provide hands-on care and medical support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and behavioral health needs in a supportive, community-based setting. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or state certificate
  • Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Missouri
  • At least one year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity
  • Valid driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Other certifications as required by state licensing regulations such as CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health conditions and ensure quality nursing care is delivered
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate medical documentation
  • Oversee and support staff responsible for medication administration
  • Provide treatments and personal care according to physician orders
  • Conduct health assessments and implement care within each Individual Service Plan (ISP)
  • Recognize and respond to changes in health conditions
  • Train staff on infection control, universal precautions, and medication administration
  • Coordinate care with physicians, healthcare providers, and external agencies
  • Educate individuals served on health topics such as self-medication and prescribed treatments
