Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) | Full-Time Starting Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour Start your next nursing chapter earning $28.00 - $30.00/hour while providing hands-on care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or state certificate
- Active LPN/LVN license in the state of Missouri
- At least one year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity
- Valid driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
- Other certifications as required by state licensing regulations such as CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families
Responsibilities
- Monitor the health conditions and ensure quality nursing care is delivered
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medical documentation
- Oversee and support staff responsible for medication administration
- Provide treatments and personal care according to physician orders
- Conduct health assessments and implement care within each Individual Service Plan (ISP)
- Recognize and respond to changes in health conditions
- Train staff on infection control, universal precautions, and medication administration
- Coordinate care with physicians, healthcare providers, and external agencies
- Educate individuals served on health topics such as self-medication and prescribed treatments
