About The Position

The role of the License Practical Nurse (LPN) at US Urology Partners is to provide administrative and clinical support to the providers of the practice. The LPN must be able to work independently as well as interact as part of a team, consistently demonstrating respect and professionalism to fellow staff members. What You’ll Be Doing The LPN directs assigned provider patient schedule throughout the day. Responsible for medication/script line. Re-directs the message to the RN, PA/ NP or provider if any clinical assessments need to be made on the patient’s behalf. Thee LPN will greet patients in the waiting area and escort them to the clinical care area for which their appointment is scheduled. Once the patient is placed in the exam room, the LPN assists in placing all personal belongings in the appropriate place in the exam room. Patient EMR chart is to be accurately updated in regards to weight, vital signs, medications and medical updates ensuring medical update form has been completed and the chart is ready for the provider (including lab work, x-rays, company training and in-services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements. Prepares room & equipment for office procedures assisting providers with office procedures to carry out clinical care including preparing the patient for their appointment. After proper identification of the patient by full name consultations). The LPN explains procedures to the patients addressing any questions or concerns they may have within the scope of practice. Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities. Reports any adverse medication events to supervising provider. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program
  • Current state License
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least one (1) year of medical/surgical experience is preferred
  • Travel to other Clinics as needed
  • Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
