About The Position
Saint John's Abbey invites applications for the part-time, benefit eligible position of Licensed Practical Nurse in the Retirement Center. Day shift 7am-3pm, rotating holidays and weekends. This position is responsible for the nursing care of the monk residents and monks needing short term care in a residential setting. Will have knowledge of general rehabilitative and preventative nursing theory, familiarity with the organization, policies and regulations of the Order of Saint Benedict, Saint John's Abbey and the Abbey Retirement Center. Works as a member of a team in meeting the resident's care needs (physical, emotional, social, spiritual, etc.) by assisting in the assessment of the individual's need, developing an individualized care plan, implementing the plan and evaluating the care given.
