About the position
Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their team in a skilled nursing facility. The role involves providing quality direct resident care, supporting unit leadership, and collaborating with the care team to ensure optimal resident health and rehabilitation. Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to unit leadership and respond to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
- Use nursing process, judgment, and skills to prioritize and deliver quality direct resident care.
- Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and medications, observing residents for desired or unwanted effects.
- Communicate and collaborate with care team members to revise/update the Nursing Care Plan based on findings, lab/test results, and concerns.
- Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and residents' responses.
- Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care for resident CNA assignments and activities.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
- Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN.
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
- Possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create a conducive atmosphere for rehabilitation and optimal resident health.
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset residents.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and harmoniously with all staff.
