Your Impact Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs. Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures. Clinical Procedures: Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more. Execute point-of-care testing such as strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, and urinalysis. Provide cardiac and airway management, including ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen administration. Deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations. Patient Engagement & Documentation: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment details. Observe and report changes in patients' conditions, taking necessary action as needed. Clinic Operations: Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies. Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace, supporting smooth clinic operations. Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates. Welcome and support the training of new team clinic team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • State licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. For Maine and New Hampshire only, must be IV certified.
  • 1-2 years of patient triage experience in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.
