Licensed Practical Nurse- Pediatric After Hours Summerville (PRN)
About The Position
MUSC Children’s After Hours and Specialty Clinics, we are a pediatric outpatient clinic that falls under the Shawn Jenkin’s Children’s Hospital at MUSC. During the day, we host a variety of pediatric subspecialists such as pediatric orthopedics, cardiology, and pulmonary, only to name a few. In addition to that, we provide a walk-in After Hours Care, which is a direct extension of our pediatric emergency department to serve our community during the hours when most pediatricians are closed. • Our specialty clinics operate M-F 8 am – 430 pm • After Hours Clinic is open during the week, Monday through Friday from 3pm – 10pm and on the weekends from 12pm – 7pm. Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Nice To Haves
- One year of LPN experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider in a clinical practice.
- Duties to include rooming patients, taking vitals and health history, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections and assisting with minor procedures.
- These shifts include weekends, and summer and winter holidays.
