About The Position

This is an on-site part-time position working Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The role involves administering and overseeing self-administered and prescribed medications per established schedules as ordered. Responsibilities include monitoring clients' vital signs and other physical health information, maintaining accurate records reflecting the data, and administering injectable medications while ensuring accurate prescribed dosage and timely delivery. The position also requires educating clients in the management of side effects and obtaining preauthorization of prescriptions/medications from the pharmacy when needed. Additional duties include completing and maintaining accurate documentation relating to the provision of care, medications, and other client-related services, as well as maintaining client medical records/charts relating to admissions and discharges. The role involves transcribing medical provider orders, administering pregnancy tests and drug screens, maintaining accurate inventory counts of all medicines and medical supplies, and scheduling outside medical appointments for clients as ordered by the medical provider. The position requires participation on a team with MD/APRN/RN to manage the flow of medication management clinics.

Requirements

  • Up to eighteen months of education or training beyond the high school level in nursing or related field of study.
  • License for Practical Nursing in Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Graduation from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 6-12 months nursing experience.
