About The Position

Somerset Health Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Somerset Allergy Office. This full-time outpatient role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized clinical setting, supporting patients with allergy-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organized, and skilled in both clinical procedures and patient communication.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.
• Prior allergy injection experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure.
• Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal.
• Act 33 with renewal.
• Act 34 with renewal.
• Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
• Current licensure in the state where the facility is located or a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Administer medications including oral, subcutaneous (SQ), intramuscular (IM), and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Assess patients' general condition, including taking vital signs and weight.
• Document all clinical activities, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the medical record.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician instructions.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and sensitive patient data.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies.
• Follow all Somerset Health Services policies and procedures.
• Support a safe and efficient outpatient environment through professional and compassionate care.
