About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for inpatient Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. The Heart and Vascular unit is a 34 bed acute care cardiovascular telemetry unit specializing in post-operative cardiac surgery patients, TAVR, vascular surgery patients, and cardiac post-procedural patients. Baystate Medical Center is known for delivering life-saving care and is in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for angioplasty procedures. We offer elbow-to-elbow support and are committed to taking care of all those in the community who need us.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination.
• Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• AND degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Heart and Vascular unit.
• Assist in post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
