About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is looking for inpatient Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. The Heart and Vascular unit is a 34 bed acute care cardiovascular telemetry unit that specializes in providing services for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, TAVR, and vascular surgery patients. Baystate Medical Center is known for its life-saving care during heart attacks, performing more than 80% of all cardiac surgeries in western Massachusetts. This position is part-time, with shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, requiring every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination.
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• AND degree required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Heart and Vascular unit.
• Assist in post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
