About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position involves providing general direct nursing care to individuals who are injured, ill, convalescent, or disabled. The role includes administering medical treatments and medications, supervising or directing the work of other disciplines, and handling individuals' requests as they arise. The LPN will measure and document vital signs, observe individuals, and report any changes in their conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment. Additionally, the LPN will work as part of a healthcare team to assess individuals' needs, plan and modify care, and implement necessary interventions.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college.
  • Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Six months of nursing experience.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and a post-hire federal background investigation.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and eligibility for the State Random Drug Testing Program.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High School and College Degrees must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals.
  • Administers prescribed medications and provides appropriate documentation.
  • Handles individuals' requests as they are received.
  • Helps individuals with activities of daily living.
  • Measures and documents individuals' vital signs.
  • Observes individuals, charting and reporting changes in individuals' conditions.
  • Provides basic care and treatments for the individuals.
  • Records food and fluid intake and output as deemed appropriate.
  • Works as part of a health care team to assess individuals' needs, plan and modify care and implement interventions.
