About The Position

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital, a part of Fairview Health Services, is currently seeking an enthusiastic LPN/MA to join our team! Grand Itasca's LPN's/MA's work closely with providers to deliver quality patient care and service by maintaining patient flow, escorting patients through the clinic, identifying patient needs, collecting/verifying information, administering medications, updating electronic medical records, implementing methods as directed to improve care and the patient experience, maintaining exam/treatment rooms, ordering related supplies and display original thinking & creativity while working effectively as an important team member. POSITION: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Rapid Clinic EMPLOYMENT TYPE: .8-.9 (64-72 hours a pay period) WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings DEPARTMENT: Clinic Nursing Internal posting until 12/4/2024

Requirements

• Current LPN Minnesota state license, current Medical Assistant certification or registration required.
• Experience in an ambulatory health care setting is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relationships.
• BLS certification to be completed within two months of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a focused assessment through the collection and comparison of data to normal findings and the patient's current health status.
• Participate with the health care team in the development and modifications to the patient's health plan of care plan/orders.
• Implement patient care interventions that are delegated, ordered or prescribed by a licensed health care provider.
• Assign nursing activities or tasks to other licensed practical nurses (LPN).
• Assign and monitor nursing tasks or activities that are delegated to certified medical assistants or any unlicensed personnel on the health care team.
• Focus on patient care through the provision of safe/effective care, patient advocacy, assistance with patient evaluation to interventions and collaboration and communication with health care team members.
• Provide health care information to patients and review education materials.
• Provide input for policies and procedures.
• Accountable for the quality of care delivered, recognizes the limits of practice and competency, and performs to the level of education knowledge and skill ordinarily expected of individuals who have completed an approved LPN education program.
