About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) at Mankato Clinic plays a crucial role in providing compassionate and respectful care to patients. Requirements

  • Current LPN license by applicable state requirements, OR a degree or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; Or a certification from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to utilize computer for daily work.
  • Patient-centered, accountability, teamwork, integrity, excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or registration (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers and departments by maintaining an efficient daily operation, following a daily schedule, and communicating updates as needed.
  • Perform core nursing functions as needed for the department.
  • Document patient data in the Electronic Health Record system accurately and timely.
  • Administer medications and/or immunizations in correct dosages as ordered, observing patients for reactions and charting appropriately.
  • Demonstrate effective oral, keyboarding, and written communication skills.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
