About The Position
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / T-LPN) Location: Spencer, WV Employment Type: Contract Assignment Dates: 12/09/25 – 02/12/26 Shift: PA Shift (Overnight) Hours: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM Meal Break: 30 minutes Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Contract Weeks: 10 Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN / T-LPN) for an overnight contract assignment covering Tuesday–Thursday shifts. The LPN will provide compassionate patient care, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and support a safe and supportive care environment. This role is ideal for a nurse who is confident working independently during extended overnight hours.
Requirements
- Active LPN license (state or compact, as applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to work long overnight shifts
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or clinical leadership
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes
- Administer medications and treatments accurately
- Perform routine nursing tasks including wound care and vital sign monitoring
- Assist patients with ADLs and ensure safety throughout the shift
- Maintain thorough, compliant clinical documentation
- Promote infection control and follow safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
