About The Position

Landmark Hospital of Athens is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join their team. Landmark Hospital is a private LTAC hospital with 42 beds, offering a positive and collaborative work environment. The hospital does not have an Emergency Room, leading to more predictable and planned days, which contributes to a better work/life balance. Patients typically have an average length of stay of 25-30 days, allowing for more meaningful connections and the opportunity to see patients recover. As an LPN, you will provide in-depth clinical expertise under the direction of a Registered Nurse, responsible for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care throughout patients' stays. The role also involves actively planning for the management of patient outcomes across the continuum of care and working closely with a variety of specialists including Physicians, Pharmacists, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Wound Care, Dietary Therapy, Social Work, and Dialysis. Landmark Hospitals is a privately owned, critical care hospital system specializing in high-level care for medically complex patients.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure
BLS and ACLS certification
Hospital experience, preferably critical care

Nice To Haves

Acute care and/or LTAC experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
Provide direct care for patients and management of their conditions under the direction of a Registered Nurse, particularly with regard to vital signs, lab work, and education
Collaborate with Physicians, RN's and various disciplines within the hospital in order to manage patient care
Contributes to the safe and effective operation of the nursing unit
Interact and communicate with patient family members
