About The Position
We invite you to join our enthusiastic team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the night shift, where you will play a crucial role in delivering essential nursing care within our detox and stabilization environment. You'll collaborate closely with a passionate multidisciplinary team to support clients through their detoxification journey, ensuring their safety and well-being overnight.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
Nice To Haves
- experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments for new admissions during nighttime hours
- Administer medications in accordance with medical protocols and closely monitor client responses
- Apply detox protocols and perform regular COWS and CIWA assessments as needed
- Monitor vital signs, document observations, and respond proactively to emergent needs
- Provide compassionate support and reassurance to clients during detox and stabilization
- Communicate effectively with on-call providers and assist with medical needs that arise overnight
- Ensure a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment during the night shift
