About The Position

FlexStaff is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work for one of our external clients, a city health system, at their pediatric ambulatory clinic, located in Brooklyn, NY. Schedule: Monday – Friday; 9:00AM – 5:00PM (alternating Saturdays) This job will be in an ambulatory setting providing pediatric immunizations.

Requirements

Valid LPN/LVN license in good standing for NYS.
BLS Certification from AHA
Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (diploma or certificate).
1–2 years of clinical nursing preferred
Must be comfortable with peds immunizations.

Nice To Haves

ambulatory/outpatient experience often preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting the physician in treatments and procedures
Monitoring of patient's vital signs, patient intake and output, and recording patient history
Reports data relating to patient's health status to appropriate clinical staff
Identifies patient goals, communicates, and collaborates with clinical team to support patient care plan
Administration of medication, injections and functions in the scope of the license
Cleaning of equipment in patient care areas
Maintain patient care rooms to ensure they are kept clean, and supplies are well stocked.
Maintain records of patient activities and observations
Submit records to the appropriate clinical staff regarding patient's condition
Assist with scheduling patients, authorizations and referrals to support office staff as needed
Cross-cover multiple practices
Rooming patients
Overseeing patient flow
