We are currently seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work the night shift at our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Cookeville, TN. This position plays a vital role in providing quality care and support to patients experiencing mental health crises in a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment.

  • Implement policies and procedures of the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).
  • Provide nursing support and assist Psychiatric Technicians with patients’ daily living needs as required.
  • Administer medications and monitor medical needs as ordered for each patient.
  • Screen incoming calls and questions related to medication and treatment.
  • Educate patients (and families when appropriate) on medications and ensure proper documentation of all education sessions.
  • Monitor lab work and ensure compliance with medication-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct individual evaluations and group sessions to support patients in medication management.
  • Complete admission assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Dispense or phone prescriptions (as signed by MD/NP) under supervision of the Psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner.
  • Participate in staff meetings and treatment planning sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment; assist with cleaning patient rooms, food service areas, and common spaces when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
  • Current LPN license in the State of Tennessee (required).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

  • Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings preferred.
