Requirements
- Graduate of a Kentucky State-approved nursing program (new graduates welcome).
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in Kentucky or Compact State.
- Current CPR certification from an in-person course (online certifications are not accepted).
Nice To Haves
- Experience or strong interest in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing is a plus.
- Strong observational skills and ability to respond to crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and administer medications as directed by a Registered Nurse.
- Assist with the management of volatile or combative patient behaviors.
- Support patient admissions, discharges, and education initiatives.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and participate in therapeutic activities.
- Supervise Resident Aides and Ward Clerks as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all nursing practices and procedures in accordance with KRS Chapter 314.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and visitors.
